Cevazuril

For the prevention of clinical signs of coccidiosis and reduction of coccidia shedding in housed calves. Active substance: Toltrazuril.

Coccidiosis in young calves is caused by infection by protozoan parasites called Eimeria spp. which parasitise the lining of the alimentary tract causing diarrhoea.

Available in:

  • 250 ml
  • 1 L
Coccidiosis is one of the most costly diseases in beef and dairy calves, and can set back calf growth by as much as two months.  The parasites are prolific in the environment with the majority of infections subclinical. Once ingested, they multiply quickly and damage the intestinal lining, leading to diarrhoea, blood loss and reduced absorption capacity.

Target species:

  • cattle icon Cattle
  • pig icon Swine

How to use

  • Calves: 3 ml oral suspension per 10 kg body weight
  • Piglets 0.4 ml oral suspension per kg body, treated on day 3-5 of life with single dose
  • Withdrawal: Cattle (calves) meat and offal 63 days.  Pigs (piglets) 77 days
